Ben Summers joined the club on loan from Celtic on 11th August 2023. The nineteen year old has risen through the Celtic academy from the age of seven. He has played mainly for Celtic B but made his first team debut at the end of last season.
Signing his first professional contract with the club in June 2020, Ben was selected for the B team at the start of the 2021/22 Lowland League season, whilst also playing for the under-18’s.
Initially coming off the bench in the B team’s Lowland League campaign the attacking midfielder then became a regular in the starting eleven. He made 22 appearances in the Lowland League last season.
Summers made his Celtic debut on 16 April 2023, substituted on in 88th minute, in the 4–1 win away to Kilmarnock and played the last eleven minutes of the final Premier League game of the season at home to Aberdeen
Summers was included in the Scotland under 21 squad for the first time in March this year and made his debut on 23 March 2023 in a friendly match against Sweden.
